Born and raised in Keaukaha, Hawaii, I Kekoaikaika “ Koa “ Fonseca started training in 2000 with two time UFC champion BJ Penn. I was very fortunate to live with BJ through High School, all while being blessed to train with some of the best Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Boxing and Thai boxing/Kickboxing trainers in the world.

Gold medal winner in March, 2012 at The Irish Open in Dublin, Ireland.
Silver medal winner in Iguazu, Brazil, at the WAKO Pan-American Championships.
I’m now a black belt in Jiu Jitsu under BJ Penn/Charuto Verissimo. I do my best to train local professional MMA fighters, raising my son as a single father parent and giving all the glory to God. Fighting is in my blood. The love for coaching is who I am. And giving back to the community is my goal.
